Aloha Jane (the Pineapple Princess) and Aloha Joe have received a very generous grant to travel in the Pacific Northwest in search of Basket Cultures! Together, they will sail away and follow the routes of Captain George Vancouver and Captain James Cook across the Pacific Northwest.

Voyage of Discovery

The Silk Road Arts Council put out another RFP to study the music of Oceania. Aloha Jane, the Pineapple Princess, responded and received a very generous grant to travel in the Pacific Northwest  in search of Basket Cultures of Oceania! Together, Aloha Joe & Aloha Jane, the Pineapple Princess, will sail away and follow the routes of Captain George Vancouver and Captain James Cook across the Pacific Northwest.

Aloha Jane is happy to report that our proposal for funding to host the 2007  Halakahiki Festival was accepted.  Now through generous support from the Silk Road Arts Council the Halakahiki Festival is a go again this year!

The Request for Proposal

Once again, the Silk Road Foundation of the Arts has put out a RFP to study the music of Ocenaia and Aloha Jane, the Pineapple Princesss, have resonded! We are hoping to get another generous study grant to study on the east coast of the USA in July! We hope to confirm our study travel adventure by May 1, 2007.
